The Ontario PeriAnesthesia Nurses Association is a group for nurses dedicated to providing excellence in the PeriAnesthesia area of practice. This includes freestanding clinics as well as Day Surgery, PreAdmission, Endoscopy, Dental and Post Anesthetic units. This association encourages educational opportunities and to this end arrange an annual conference in different provinces each year.  By providing this annual conference, nurses from across Ontario and beyond have the opportunity to enhance their practice, knowledge and clinical skills, which in turn allows patients to receive the best available updated practice and care.

Each year at this conference, the program is designed to educate and expose perianesthesia nurses to a wide range of professionally related topics. Physicians, nurses and other members of the interprofessional perianesthesia team give presentations that are clinically focused on areas impacting our work environment.  This year, the conference is being held in Toronto.  There is an outstanding lineup of well-known clinical experts in fields relevant to PeriAnesthesia practice.

Financial support for this conference or gifts for our Silent Auction sale from individuals or organizations such as your’s are very important to us, allowing our registration fees to be kept low enough to attract the greatest number of perianesthesia nurses from across the province, many of whom receive no assistance with these fees.

We are soliciting you for donations at this time for our upcoming Conference and 25th Anniversary Celebration on October 23, 24, 2010 which is being held at the Sheraton Centre Hotel, 123 Queen St. West, in Toronto, Ontario. Your contributions will allow OPANA to provide an excellent educational conference for the province's PeriAnesthesia Nurses and support our members in their educational pursuits. OPANA will acknowledge your support at the conference in the conference syllabus and in the edition of OPANA’s newsletter following the conference.
