OPANA distributes a regular newsletter to all of its members in order to promote, educate and network with fellow Perianesthesia Nurses. This newsletter has been named the "Monitor". The name refers to the practice of monitoring or observing and actively scanning the environments in which we work, and relaying this information to all of OPANA's members. The name also relates to the ongoing monitoring of perianesthesia patients which nurses perform in their work environments, either through current technology available for this purpose or through expert nursing assessment skills.
Only OPANA members are eligible to receive the OPANA Monitor on a regular basis, every three months. If you would like to receive copies of the "Monitor", please join OPANA by clicking on "Membership" -> then click on "Join OPANA now!" to fill out your easy and convenient application form online. Examples of the most recent newsletters are available at the left.
If you would like to join the Newsletter Committee, please click on the link "Join the Newsletter Committee" to the left of this page.
If you have an announcement or an article that you would like to share with your perianesthesia colleagues through OPANA's Monitor, please click on the links "Advertising in the Monitor" or "Submissions to the Monitor" available to the left. The Newsletter Editor will respond to your requests immediately.
